There's a vision in our hearts. For people to Arise & Shine at The Light House, a wellness campus offering family and a home to young adults who've not had one; retreats for the weary, for rest, reflection and renewal; and to seekers, an exploration of healing, of purpose, and of rising. Amidst nature's breezes. The Light House will offer more than typical retreats: clinical therapy by licensed professionals, workshops and seminars, concerts and live theater. The Light House exists within our souls.
As a sanctuary away from it all. Away from time clocks and traffic, office buildings and noise. It's a place where time will stand still.

Our tranquil setting will whisper healing, guiding souls to inner peace. It's a place where people will come stay awhile, then ease back into their everyday lives refreshed and renewed. And if they wish, a little more whole.

Our Mission: Service ~ 'Giving Back'
The Light House will exist to help people rise. To hold space for those in search of something more - more peace, more purpose, deeper connection, or sanctuary. Our mission is to provide a warm, welcoming experience for individuals, families, and groups in need, offering counseling, education, recreation, leisure as they lighter hearts along their paths. We especially aim to support youth who are aging out of traditional foster care systems, without families, ensuring they have a loving home they can always return to and a sense of belonging everyone should feel. Our services will include counseling, educational classes and workshops, on-site professional training and employment, resume development, career counseling, and placements in schools, jobs and internships, churches and communities according to their choosing and tailored to their interests.
Additionally, the Light House will host dedicated weeks (3-5 days) to various groups in need, such as struggling families, single mothers, parents and children experiencing divorce, terminally diagnosed individuals and their families, groups seeking racial understanding and healing, those facing self-esteem challenges, physical challenges, difficulty forgiving, and spiritual seekers.
Activities & Amenities
The Light House will offer a variety of activities to enrich the body and mind: health seminars, cooking demonstrations, and arts & crafts. Activities to invigorate the senses: gardening, paddle boating, swimming and hiking. Activities to foster social connection: sports tournaments, scavenger hunts, canoe races and game nights. Activities to inspire the soul: purpose journeys, live theatrical performances, worship and Bible study groups. Spa services will be offered to still the spirit, and hot tubs to help soak cares away. Guests will be welcome to close out each day inspired by our campfire by the lake.
What Makes The Light House Experience Unique?
The Light House offers a sacred space for those who arrive as seekers—longing for family, connection, personal growth, or spiritual renewal. We welcome those searching for relief from anxiety, depression, addiction, or confusion. Here, we gently explore your journey as you wish - at your depth and your pace: the wounds of a painful childhood, the scars of racial injustice, the weight of inadequacy and low self-worth, the burdens of sin, shame, and unforgiveness, and the ache of purposelessness or hopelessness.

Light House retreats will be much more than your typical retreat! The Light House will provide licensed clinical therapy, available both during retreats and as a year-round service for individuals, couples, and families. For those seeking therapeutic support, we offer a range of counseling options, including individual therapy, couple and premarital counseling, family therapy, and group sessions centered around shared experiences—such as self-esteem, addiction recovery, racial healing, and more.

The Light House will be dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of guests by providing individualized experiences that align with their interests, age, aspirations and desires. A licensed clinical therapist will sit beside clients wherever they feel best served: near a babbling brook, perusing the woods, on a bench by the lake, or in the privacy of our naturesque offices.
Educational workshops and events, and spiritual counseling will also be offered to cultivate deeper understanding—of ourselves and our life’s journey, of our connection to others and the world around us, and of the Divine, life’s meaning, and our greater purpose.
We look forward to opening the doors of the Light House, inviting guests to come stay awhile, and to arise and shine in the presence of our Light of the World.
